Abdelatif Bichari’s to officiate at the British Open

The Arab Golf Federation (AGF) is proud to announce that Abdelatif Bichari has been invited to officiate at The 151st Open, the world renowned ‘Major Championship’ held annually in the United Kingdom. This marks a significant milestone for the AGF and the development of certified golf referees in the Arab world.

Abdelatif Bichari’s selection to officiate at the British Open is a testament to his expertise and experience in the sport, as well as the AGF's commitment to promoting and developing golf in the Arab world. Bichari's invitation to the British Open is a huge milestone for the AGF who have been providing training and certification programs for golf referees in the region, which has led to an increase in the number of certified golf referees in the Arab world.

‘The Open’ is one of the most prestigious golf tournaments in the world and is scheduled to take place in July 2023 at the Royal Liverpool Golf Club, Hoylake, England. Bichari will join a team of highly experienced and respected referees who will oversee the tournament and ensure that the rules of the game are adhered to by all participating professional and amateur players.

Abdellatif El Bachari has over 20 years of experience in organising, directing, and refereeing golf tournaments. He has extensive knowledge of the international golfing environment, including organizational, technical, functional, and financial aspects.

He has published over 50 Rules articles in golf magazines and has directed and officiated in more than 350 tournaments, including international amateur championships, national championships, and on professional tours.

Outside of golf, El Bachairi holds a Master's degree in Applied Mathematics and Information System and a Bachelor's degree in Mathematics and Physics. He is also fluent in Arabic, French, and English.
