Arab Players Continue to Shine at the 7th Bahrain Amateur Open Part of the Arab Golf Series

Manama, Bahrain –
The curtain has fallen on the 7th Bahrain Amateur Open Golf Championship, organized by the Bahrain Golf Association and hosted at the Royal Golf Club, as part of the Arab Golf Series supervised by the Arab Golf Federation. The event comes within the Federation’s initiatives aimed at developing the sport and raising the level of competition among Arab players.

The championship witnessed strong participation from elite Arab golfers who made a notable impact at the top of the leaderboard. Qatar’s Daniel Sokolov continued his impressive performance to finish second with a total of five under par, followed by his compatriot Saleh Al Kaabi in third place at four under par, while Egypt’s Issa Abou El Ela secured ninth place with a score of +2, once again highlighting the growing strength and competitiveness of Arab national players across the region.

Meanwhile, Bahraini rising star Khalid Siddiq claimed first place in the championship after handicap adjustment, marking a remarkable achievement that reflects the continued progress of young Bahraini golf talents and their strong presence on both the Gulf and Arab levels.

During the closing ceremony, held under his patronage, Major General Ali bin Saqer Al Nuaimi, President of the Bahrain Golf Association, emphasized that the tournament achieved great success thanks to wide participation and excellent organization. He noted that it has become a key fixture on the regional golf calendar, especially with its close association with the Arab Golf Series, which has significantly contributed to raising the level of professionalism and nurturing young Arab golfers.

Al Nuaimi also praised the role of national sponsors, led by Ebrahim K. Kanoo Company, the exclusive dealer for Lexus in Bahrain and the official sponsor of the championship, along with several esteemed institutions such as Al Salam Bank, BANZ Company, Bahrain Duty Free Complex, Al Shareef Group, Crown Industries, and Bahrain Scrap Mold. He stressed that this support reflects the private sector’s commitment to advancing sports in Bahrain and the Arab world.

The Bahrain Amateur Open stands as one of the most prominent events within the Arab Golf Series, launched by the Arab Golf Federation to enhance competition among young Arab talents and prepare them to represent their national teams in regional and international championships, including the Asian Games, which will be hosted by the Kingdom of Bahrain later this month.

Through these initiatives, the Arab Golf Series continues to cement its position as a leading platform for uniting Arab efforts in developing the sport and strengthening the region’s presence on the international golf stage.
