Historic Egyptian Amateur Open to Tee Off at Dreamland Under the Arab Golf Series Banner

Cairo, Egypt – October 2025, Excitement is building ahead of the 104th edition of the Egyptian Amateur Open, set to take place from 16–18 October 2025 at Dreamland Golf Club in Cairo. As one of the region’s oldest and most prestigious amateur tournaments, the event continues to attract leading players from across the Arab world and beyond.

This year’s championship carries added significance as it is staged under the direct supervision of the Arab Golf Federation (AGF) and is officially part of the Arab Golf Series (AGS), the Federation’s flagship initiative designed to unify tournaments under a regional ranking system. The AGS creates a clearer pathway for Arab golfers aspiring to turn professional, while its World Amateur Golf Ranking (WAGR) recognition gives players a valuable opportunity to strengthen their global standing.

For the first time, the 2025 Egyptian Amateur Open will also feature the Egyptian Seniors Championship, reflecting the inclusive spirit of the game and giving golfers of different generations the chance to compete on the same stage.

The Egyptian Amateur Open has long stood at the heart of efforts to make golf in Egypt both inclusive and globally recognized. This year’s expanded format preserves that legacy while advancing Egypt’s ambition to become a leading destination for golf tourism and international events.

The Arab Golf Federation reiterated that its support for the Egyptian Amateur Open is part of a broader strategy to expand the base of the game across the Arab world, strengthen national teams’ participation in international events, and provide amateurs and emerging professionals with high-level competition.

The Arab Golf Series calendar has already seen a strong run in 2025, beginning with the Qatar Open in February, the Cedars Golf Championship in Lebanon (in collaboration with the UAE Golf Federation), and the Arab Juniors & Women’s Championship in Cairo, which marked the launch of the Arab Ranking System for women and juniors. After successful stops in Jordan, Morocco, and Bahrain, the Series now arrives in Egypt for the Men’s Amateur and Seniors Opens, with the Egyptian Junior and Ladies Amateur Golf Championship set to follow.

Looking ahead, the series will move to Saudi Arabia for the Arab Men’s and Seniors Championships alongside the Saudi Amateur Open in Riyadh, before concluding with the UAE Cup and the Tunisia Amateur Open (to be confirmed).

Building on the momentum of the Arab Golf Series across the region, all eyes now turn to Egypt for one of the calendar’s most anticipated stops.

With its proud history and renewed format, the Egyptian Amateur Open promises to be more than just a tournament—it will be a celebration of Arab golf’s growth and an important milestone in Egypt’s journey to host more international golf events in the seasons to come.
