Cairo, Egypt – October 2025, Egypt will welcome the Egyptian Junior and Ladies Amateur Golf Championship at New Giza Golf Club from 23 to 25 October 2025, held under the supervision of the Arab Golf Federation and included within the Arab Golf Series (AGS). Taking place after the Egypt Amateur and Seniors Championship, the tournament reflects the country’s ambition to strengthen its standing on the global golfing map.
Chosen for its international-standard course and track record in hosting major competitions, New Giza continues the Federation’s strategy of selecting venues capable of delivering both sporting excellence and greater international visibility for Egyptian golf.
This year’s Junior and Ladies Championship is designed to accelerate participation among younger players and women golfers in Egypt and the wider region. Building on three recent junior training camps in Algeria and Marassi—two of which were held with the support of R&A coaches—the Federation is laying the groundwork for a strong pipeline of emerging talent.
The long-term ambition is to establish the event as one of the most competitive platforms for juniors and ladies across the Middle East and Africa, providing vital opportunities for players to test their skills against international peers while promoting Egypt as a sports tourism hub.
As part of the Arab Golf Series (AGS)—the Federation’s flagship initiative uniting the region’s leading tournaments—the championship provides Arab golfers with a clearer progression toward the professional ranks. Its official status on the World Amateur Golf Ranking (WAGR) also gives participants a valuable pathway to enhance their international profiles and reinforce their presence on the global stage.
The Arab Golf Federation emphasized that its support for the championship forms part of its broader mission to grow the sport across the Arab world—by supporting national teams, expanding competitive opportunities for amateurs and emerging professionals, and ensuring Arab players gain the exposure needed to thrive internationally.
The 2025 Arab Golf Series began strongly with the Qatar Open in February, followed by the Cedars Golf Championship in Lebanon, held in partnership with the UAE Golf Federation. Cairo subsequently hosted the Arab Juniors & Women’s Championship, which also marked the introduction of the Arab Ranking System for women and junior divisions.
The Series has since made successful stops in Jordan, Morocco, and Bahrain, before returning to Egypt for the Egyptian Amateur Golf Championship and now the Egyptian Junior and Ladies Championship. Later in the season, Saudi Arabia will welcome the Arab Men’s and Seniors Championships alongside the Saudi Amateur Open in Riyadh, before the Series concludes with the UAE Cup and the Tunisia Amateur Open (pending confirmation).
Following a successful run of tournaments across the region, the spotlight now shifts to New Giza Golf Club, where the next generation of champions will compete.
New Giza Golf Club—renowned for hosting international tournaments including the Alps Tour and the Pro Golf Professional Tour—will provide a fitting stage for the upcoming championship. The club’s facilities, together with Egypt’s renowned hospitality, are expected to create a memorable experience for athletes, families, and fans, further reinforcing Egypt’s role as a key player in the development of golf in the region.
